For UK breakdowns, we aim to have someone with you in less than 40 minutes. If you're driving elsewhere, it may take us a little longer to reach you, depending on where you are.

Home assistance cover

Our home assistance insurance can help cover the cost of repairs when you experience a home emergency.

If you have our Swift Made or Swift More products you can call the team on 0330 024 8085.

If you have our SwiftCover or SwiftCover Plus products you can call the team on 0330 024 5472.

The team are there to help you 24/7.

It’s helpful to have your policy number for the call.

Domestic helpline

If you've not taken home assistance cover and you need an emergency tradesperson you can call our domestic helpline

This is a referral service offered by AXA Assistance (UK) Ltd. They’ll will put you in contact with the nearest suitable tradesperson.

Any agreement entered will be between you and the tradesperson. AXA Assistance (UK) Ltd will not be responsible for any work carried out.

You'll be responsible for paying the tradesperson's fees and for agreeing the scope and quality of the work carried out.

If the incident is covered by your policy, you can register a claim in the usual way.

Before sending us your proof, please check that it's:
  • Issued by your previous insurer in the UK

  • In your name as the policyholder – not as a named driver

  • Less than 24 months old (showing the date the policy ended) – the only exception is if you're in the Armed Forces, and you were working overseas

  • Earned in the UK on a private car, van (on a single vehicle policy) or motorcycle (you must be at least 22 years old for us to accept this type of proof)

  • Earned on a UK or EU license

  • Not being used on insurance for another vehicle

If your proof doesn't meet this checklist, please list that you have 0 years NCD.
